Playing Skills

Players of various skill levels will enjoy the parts in these arrangements, from confident beginner to the up-the-neck enthusiast. Each piece includes several skill levels.

Confident/Advanced Beginner, prerequisite: Playing chords you know, you can move from one note or chord to another without hesitation. If you are fairly new to the ukulele, but know music notation or tablature and have a sense of rhythm, you’ll likely get along fine with these ensemble arrangements.

Intermediate: You can keep a steady rhythm and recognize rhythm patterns, and are competent with a variety of basic chords. You can read single notes in standard notation or tablature at least to the third fret.

Advanced: You can play single notes and chords up the neck and are comfortable with life above the fifth fret.
